President's Statement
Francis Marion has a fine shared governance system. The faculty, staff, trustees and administration work harmoniously, guided by mutual respect and an understanding of the needs of our various constituencies. The University mission is well understood; the institutional structure is flat hierarchically; and communication patterns are natural among academic and administrative departments.
