What makes your college a great place to work?
Employee Comment
I've never worked at a university where the president and provost are so invested in faculty and so accessible. In addition, if you have an idea, the university will support you in exploring it. I had an idea for a new organization, and within the semester, that organization was up and running! Our college-level dean and associate dean are extremely supportive and available.
President's Statement
At the University of North Alabama, we understand that a great work environment starts with great people. Accordingly, we hire and promote with care to ensure alignment with our institutional culture and aspirations. Retention is also important. We pay attention to employee morale and celebrate individual successes and group accomplishments early and often. Finally, we involve faculty, staff, and student leaders in the decision-making process and prioritize campus harmony in those deliberations.
